Who stole the summer of 2019? Someone sound the alarm and have the culprits arrested because as I look around me, the dog days are upon us and it’s nowhere to be found. Just a few fleeting weeks before September arrives!
It seems like only yesterday (but it was actually June) that I was in New York seeing theatre and visiting museums. Fortunately, the theatre was first rate and my account of the week can be found here, in the Canadian Theatre Critic’s Association latest issue of Critically Speaking (see page 4). This particular issue is also full of news from our colleagues across the country with a very special welcome from our new president, Carly Maga, co-critic with Karen Fricker at the Toronto Star. Enjoy!
